About Us

Founded by two physicians with an understanding of the intricate challenges faced by the healthcare system, we work to identify and address the root causes of these issues. Through research, collaboration with industry experts, and data-driven analysis, we are committed to transforming the landscape of healthcare.

During the COVID-19 pandemic when there was a server shortage of testing options Boundless Medical precured their own PCR machines and went on to open a dedicated testing clinic, ultimately processing over 20,000 tests.

Post pandemic and with the health care service under continued stress we recognized a need to support the large unattached population in BC with basic preventative health care. CanScreenBC has subsequently been created as a dedicated Cancer Screening clinic with plans to add further screening tests in the future.

Founder

Dr Stuart Bax

Dr. Bax completed his General Practitioner Speciality training in London, UK following his his undergraduate training at Oxford University and post-graduate Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Warwick University.

Dr. Bax has worked both as a General Practitioner and walk-in physician in the Greater Victoria Area for over 5 years. He has a passion for preventative medicine and enhancing equity in the healthcare system.

Founder

Dr Cal Shapiro

Dr. Shapiro completed his Family Medicine training at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario after having received his MD at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in London, Ontario.

Dr. Shapiro has been in practice for 9 years, with 5 years prior experience offering full-spectrum rural family medicine in predominantly First-Nations rural and remote communities. He currently practices outpatient family medicine and hospital medicine in Victoria, BC.
